We started with the thought, "If we had this behaviour gap in the corporate world, what would we do?" This resulted in the development of a highly effective development programme.
A development programme that is designed to fit with end-to-end offender management ensuring that offenders are provided with the best possible opportunities to change their behaviours combined with a qualification that contributes to their prospects of obtaining employment.
The chrysalis programme taps into proven corporate development initiatives, resources and expertise; then combines this with best practice from Offender Management Services, mentoring and ‘real’ work placements to create a fresh approach to offender development and rehabilitation.
The programme integrates community sentencing requirements into a single holistic yet flexible development programme delivered over 12 modules with support and mentoring throughout. The eventual target is the integration of participants into job roles, with the correct behaviours and attitudes embedded to ensure their placement is sustainable and effective.
