About the Programme
The Chrysalis Programme is a holistic development and rehabilitation programme that helps offenders alter their behaviours. It reduces the likelihood of re-offending through the introduction of personal effectiveness, self-awareness and a renewed work ethic.
The core aim is to reduce re-offending through behavioural development and workskills, providing participants with every opportunity to enter employment and contribute to society in a positive way.
The programme provides skills, knowledge, understanding, confidence and an awareness of the need to change, thus helping them to become role models in their local communities. It is accredited to level 2 on the national curriculum and also applies the NOMS Offender Management Model’s Four Cs: Continuity, Consistency, Commitment and Consolidation with Mentors supporting offenders development.
All participants are provided with consistent developmental training, changing their paradigms regarding acceptable behaviour and preparing them for reintegration into both society and the work environment. This provides the prospect of rehabilitation and contributes to the reduction in levels of re-offending.
We have seen tremendous results from the implementation of the programme so far and we hope to build on this success into the future and really make a sustainable change.
"It works for me because if I stick to this it will give me improved outcomes, a greater sense of meaning and purpose, more life balance and peace of mind and a reputation for following through"
